Two week comparison

This is really sad people but this is the only picture I took this weekend, I mean, who goes away with their husband for the weekend and doesn't take a photo?!?! And I only took this to send to a friend because this is where we got caught in a rain storm a few months earlier. I need help.  So I technically just finished week three but I'm going to rewind just a little. The first two weeks my diet pretty much consisted of ground turkey mixed with brown rice and lentils (Or just brown rice, lentils and avocado) chicken, raw and cooked veggies (I love roasted veggies), smoothies with vanilla protein powder, lots of apples and bananas and oatmeal for breakfast. Salt and pepper and cilantro are my best friends right now. Luckily I don't mind eating the same thing every day! It's kept life simple, but week three has me venturing out to make new things. My first week with no gluten, no dairy and no sugar was strange. Almost every time I ate a meal I felt "empty...

So many of you who know me know that I have a skin condition called Psoriasis. Dermatologist have explained it as my immune system is over active and causes my skin to grow faster than the average person. Faster as in my skin grows in three days when it should take 27. This is why traditional Drs have always tackled this problem topically with creams and photolithography (aka glorified tanning) These have definitely work for me and have been my treatment on and off for the past 20 years. However recently I have been playing with the idea of attempting to cure myself holistically. After conversing with my two close friends (one is a nutritionist one is an RN) I decided to take the plunge!! I'm not prepared and I'm still researching a lot but I decided to just start! Which is so unlike me since I like to have all my ducks in a row and know what works before I dive in. The more I read the more I'm learning that's not possible when trying to cure something holistically. ...
