Elimination Diet

Wow! So due to this Christmas season being craaaazy, I didn’t get to posting my 12 and 14 week comparison photos.... yet. Aaaand I’m not going to upload them tonight. But I will briefly say things are going very well. The holidays were a bit hard with all the yummy goodness all around and even though I did cheat (often) but my skin is still getting better. Maybe not as cleared up as it could have been but honestly, cutting loose a little was well worth it!! One thing I did learn from my rebellious getaway was that food definitely triggers my Psoriasis, I have no doubts now. Only problem is my food intake wasn’t isolated enough to know for sure what I am sensitive to. So in this new year I am going to buckle down and get serious about this elimination diet!!

Which brings me to why I came on here in the first place, to explain the “elimination diet”. Aelimination diet is a short-term eating plan that eliminates certain foods that may be causing allergies and other digestive reactions – then reintroduces the foods one at a time in order to determine which foods are, and are not, well-tolerated.

I think I explained in a earlier post what my diet looks like. I am very limited at the moment but so far I am testing the waters with cinnamon. I’ve had it almost every day for about 11 days. Nothing drastic has happened yet. I haven’t flared up but I also wonder if my healing has slowed down.
