Elimination Diet and Kiefer (14-19 weeks)

Things have been slow going in the healing department. I switched up a few things again and it reminded me that adding or taking away too many things all at once gets to be a bit chaotic and then it’s hard to know if you’re reacting or not and what’s the cause? After our trip to Ohio and using the coconut milk brand that possibly contains soy I did better investigation of the food I was currently eating and realized I still had some possible traces of soy in my diet. I found an online source for shredded coconut that would contain absolutely no soy and replace that with the brand I have been using. I also came across a girl on inspired.com who revealed that she had an intolerance to all olive oil. Since I was using olive oil heavily in my diet I decided to cut it out for short time to see what happens. I believe that these were two steps in the right direction however I also add an item to my diet which I believe was a mistake. I started making homemade Kiefer since I had read fermented foods such as Kiefer, sauerkraut and kimchi were supposedly good for your gut. So it wasn’t necessarily a mistake to add it to my diet but it might’ve been a mistake to do all three at the same time. Because when I reacted it was hard telling what it was, although my bet is on the Keifer. The trick is to figure out why, because kiefer is said to be safe for lactose intolerance's. Never the less, I reacted, worse than I have ever reacted before to other foods. By the third day my skin was so on fire that I crawled out of bed at 11:30 at night just to have a Epson salt bath to relieve the itching. Two days later, after removing the Kiefer my skin feels amazing! I’m sad that Kiefer was a no go because I actually quite liked it but on the other hand I’m excited that my body reacting and is now telling me what foods are a no go.
I have also been looking for a holistic doctor in my area and toying with the idea of taking a blood test to test my food intolerance's. When doing some research on the subject I fell upon this article which I found interesting. I decided to hold off on the blood test and ordered the illumination diet book from my local library. I’m going to see if this book can unlock any new knowledge.

I don’t know what your religious beliefs are but I personally believe there is a God who loves us and speaks to us and wants to see good for us. I have been praying and asking God to help me along with this journey. I feel he has been speaking to me and giving me hints along the way and it seems as though every time I get discouraged and want to run to the professionals and get blood tests etc,  he ends up giving me another piece of the puzzle. I’m not saying it’s wrong to go to the doctors and I’m not saying that I won’t end up there one day. But I do believe he has the ability to guide me through this and since he is the great physician, he has more power to help me heal myself and has more knowledge than any doctor ever could. So just putting that little thought out there to encourage anyone else who may be in my shoes.

As you can see there is some slight aggravation in my skin because I am beginning to test some foods. Although my elbow looks worse I do feel like there is an over all improvement, especially in my torso.
